Roller Cone Bit Segments
1. Introduction
Roller cone bit segments (also called tricone cutters/ palm bits) are core wear-resistant components matched with rotary drilling rig tricone bits. They are welded on the bit palm body to break rock, gravel, cobble, hard soil and weathered bedrock during foundation pile drilling, municipal engineering, bridge pier drilling and geological exploration.
Made of high-strength alloy steel with tungsten carbide surfacing, they bear continuous impact, extrusion and abrasive friction against strata. They feature high hardness, strong impact resistance and long service life, effectively improving drilling efficiency and reducing bit replacement frequency.

2. Features
- High wear resistance: Tungsten carbide hardfacing on working surface resists abrasion from sand and hard rock.
- Excellent impact toughness: Optimized alloy substrate avoids cracking under frequent rock-breaking impact.
- Customizable tooth structure: Conical teeth, spherical teeth and wedge teeth available for soft, medium and hard formations separately.
- Precise welding base: Standard mounting size for seamless assembly on all mainstream rotary tricone bits.
- Wide formation adaptability: Suitable for clay, sandstone, limestone, granite, pebble layers and mixed complex strata.
Application:
- Rotary drilling rig pile foundation construction
- Bridge, high-speed railway and municipal pier drilling
- Water well, geothermal well and geological prospecting drilling
- Underground diaphragm wall and foundation reinforcement engineering
